Courses / Conferences are available for a variety of topics.

Presenter Bios:

  • Christopher H. Wise, PT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT, MTC, ATC
    • Clinical assistant professor of Physical Therapy at Widener University in Chester Pennsylvania
    • Mr. Wise also continues to work clinically in several outpatient clinics where he is involved in providing orthopaedic manual physical therapy intervention for a variety of patient populations and consultation with colleagues.  He is owner & President of WiseFeet, P.C., a custom functional foot orthotic prescription service.
    • Mr. Wise's clinical & research interests lie in the areas of orthopaedic manual physical therapy of the spine & lower extremity biomechanics.  Chris has presented the results of his research in a variety of venues. Mr. Wise is also the author of 2 books:  Mobilization Notes: A Rehabilitation Specialists Pocket Guide & Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy: From Art to Evidence (2010).
    • Mr. Wise has been involved in teaching continuing education courses on manual therapy of the spine for over ten years. 
    • Mr. Wise earned his PT degree from Arcadia University & is in the process of pursuing his PhD & tDPT.  He is a certified athletic trainer, certified manual therapist, has received his board certification as a clinical specialist in orthopaedics, & is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

  • Dawn T. Gulick, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS
    • Professor of Physical Therapy at Widener University in Chester Pennsylvania (teaching for 17 years) 

    • Areas of expertise are orthopedics, sports medicine, modalities, & medical screening

    • As a clinician, she has owned a private orthopedic/sports medicine practice.  She has also provided athletic training services from the middle school to elite Olympic level.  As a member of the Olympic Sports Medicine Society, Dr. Gulick has provided medical coverage at numerous national and international events.  

    • As a scholar, Dr. Gulick is the author of 4 books (Ortho Notes, Screening Notes, Sport Notes, Mobilization Notes), 4 book chapters, & over 24 peer-reviewed publications in 18 different journals.  She has over 40 professional & civic presentations.   Dr. Gulick is the recipient of 9 modest research grants totally over $13,000.  Dr. Gulick is a member of the APTA (orthopedic section), NATA, a PKP scholar, & a reviewer for several journals/home study courses.

    • Dr. Gulick earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Lock Haven University (Lock Haven, PA), a Master of Physical Therapy from Emory University (Atlanta, GA), & a Doctorate of Philosophy in Exercise Physiology from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA).  As a licensed physical therapist, she has a direct access authorization.  She also is a certified strength & conditioning specialist.
